Specific Tools
During the course of our talk, we explained our philosophy of using small tools as a framework for managing specific needs within your infrastructure. With that in mind, we presented some specific tools we use to manage the WebTV production network. Remember: network management isn't just for networks anymore! We use these tools to manage many different facets of the environment, from network components to system health, and on to application performance, and even the monitoring software itself!

The Extended Menu
As a service to the community at large, we're starting a links page with pointers to many different and useful tools. We've made an attempt to sort the tools by purpose, although some tools may cover more than one specific management arena. This is a work in progress: please help us find more tools!
